SaviaEdu Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

SaviaEdu is an app developed and operated by DodoSoft ("DodoSoft", "we", "us"), a software development studio based in the Dominican Republic. This policy applies to the SaviaEdu app for Android, package identifier com.dodosoft.saviaedu, available on Google Play.

2. Who is responsible for your data

SaviaEdu is a tool schools license to manage their academic and administrative records. This means:

• The school or educational institution using SaviaEdu decides what data is recorded about its students, families, and staff, and is responsible to them for how that information is handled.
• DodoSoft acts as a data processor: we host the platform, keep it running, and apply security measures, but we do not use students' academic data for our own commercial or advertising purposes.

If you're a parent, teacher, or student with questions about specific data stored in SaviaEdu, the most direct route is to contact the school that gave you access to the app. For questions about the app itself, reach us using the details in the "Contact" section at the end of this page.

3. Data we collect

Depending on the type of account you use to sign in to SaviaEdu (school staff, teacher, parent, or guardian), the app may handle:

Account data

• Name, email address, and password (stored encrypted, never in plain text).
• Your role within the school (administration, teacher, guardian).
• A session token stored encrypted on your device to keep you signed in.

Academic and administrative data (entered by the school)

• Student data: name, date and place of birth, gender, nationality, ID document, address, photo, grade level, section, and schedule.
• Academic information: enrollment, grades, attendance, announcements, documents, and disciplinary records.
• Parent/guardian information: name, phone number, email, relationship to the student, and absence notices they submit.
• School payment records: concepts, amounts, due dates, and payment status. SaviaEdu does not process card payments or store banking data; it only keeps an administrative record of account status.
• Sensitive health data (when recorded by the school): blood type, allergies, illnesses, medications, medical insurance, and medical restrictions for the student, used solely for safety and care purposes at the school.

Device data

• Device model and operating system version, collected automatically to diagnose errors and ensure app compatibility.
• A push notification identifier, if you opt in to receive notifications (for example, grade updates or school announcements).

4. How we use this data

• To operate the app's features: enrollment, grades, attendance, payments, announcements, and documents.
• To authenticate your session and control what information you can see based on your role.
• To send you relevant notifications from the school, if you turned them on.
• To provide technical support and fix bugs.
• To help the school meet its legal obligations as an educational institution.

We do not use students' academic data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties outside the school's operation.

5. Who we share data with

• The school that manages your account, which decides which of its staff can see each piece of data.
• Technical infrastructure providers that host SaviaEdu's server and database, under confidentiality agreements, solely so the app can function.
• Google / Firebase, as the push notification infrastructure provider on Android.

We do not share data with advertisers or ad networks.

6. Permissions SaviaEdu requests on Android

SaviaEdu requests the following permissions on Android, and no others:

• Notifications (Android 13 or later): to show you announcements from the school. You can turn these off anytime from System Settings > Apps > SaviaEdu > Notifications.
• Internet access: required to connect to SaviaEdu's server and load your information.

SaviaEdu does not request access to your camera, location, contacts, microphone, or storage on Android.

7. Where your data is stored

Academic and account information is stored on a server and database managed by DodoSoft. Your account's session token is stored encrypted in your Android device's secure storage and is removed when you sign out or uninstall the app.

8. Children's data

SaviaEdu is designed to be used by school staff, teachers, and parents/guardians, not directly by children. Data about minor students is entered and controlled by the school in its capacity as the responsible educational institution, and is only accessible to authorized staff and the relevant guardians. If you are a parent or guardian and want to correct or delete your child's data, please contact the school directly.

9. Data retention

Academic data is retained for as long as the school keeps its SaviaEdu account active and as required by applicable education regulations. Your personal account data is retained while your account stays active; you may request its deletion as explained in the rights section.

10. Your rights

Under Law 172-13 on Personal Data Protection of the Dominican Republic, you have the right to access, correct, cancel, and object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights:

• If your data was recorded by a school (as a student, parent/guardian, or teacher), request it directly from the school, which controls that information.
• For data tied to your SaviaEdu user account, write to us at info@dodosoft.com.do.

11. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, role-based access control) to protect the data SaviaEdu handles. No system is completely infallible, so we recommend using a unique password and never sharing your login credentials.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app's features or applicable regulations change. Any changes will be posted on this same page along with the last-updated date.
